Over a hundred years ago, a Cantonese opera troupe in a slow boat crossed the Pacific Ocean to San Francisco. Once there, they staged shows like "The Pear Garden" to early Chinese immigrants deprived of entertainment in their native language. For many years thereafter, traveling Chinese operas were the only source of entertainment for the Chinese in America

Tai Seng is proud to continue this tradition by bringing quality entertainment across the sea to Asian communities throughout the U.S. However, our programs are not just popular among the Asians. In 1996, we began marketing Hong Kong movies to the English-speaking world. Today, they have achieved both cult and mainstream status.

Guided by our Chief Executive Officer & President, Bernard Soo, Tai Seng has slowly built up a staff of over 70 industry experts, including General Manager, Helen Soo and in-house counsel, Alan Huie. The company now employs a staff of more than 75 people. We also own and operate our own editing, production, duplication and shipping facilities.
